on my astro 220 i have somehow turned off where it shows my tracks on map shows dog tracks fine.

Two things to check here.
1. That the track log is turned on. Shows this on top right.
2.Select Setup and then ENTER. That will show you the color of the track you should be leaving on the screen. The default color is TRANSPARENT so select another color if that is the problem.
