Zone 6 Hall Of Fame Male Candidate

We would be honored to have your vote for GRWCH GRFCH GRNITECH GRCH ‘PR’ FARONY BLUE STEEL RUGER
He was killed at the age of three by a semi truck at 1 am on a road that only 1 vehicle would travel down a night. But in that short time he left a mark on the bluetick breed.

He was the youngest bluetick to become GRNITECH GRCH at the age of 18 months old. Mulberry Choppin Axe was just a few days older when he accomplished this milestone and I’m pretty sure they both are still the youngest to do this.

After this, we started entering Ruger in water races and field trials. He won all of those he entered and earned the Quad Grand title by 2 years 5 months old. This is still the UKC record for all breeds.

He was inducted into the Georgia Hall of Fame

He was the Zone 6 Outstanding Dog of the Year for 2005 and is the sire of the 2012 Zone 6 Outstanding Dog of the Year

He only had 21 pups before his untimely death.

Ruger was a great coondog with amazing abilities. I would have loved to see what more he COULD have done.

Had a good hunt the other night with a 10 year old dog out of Ruger (Spec) and a 1 year old female grandpup (Flashy). Both did a great job. Flashy is going to be a tuff female.
