What "if" The Truth Came Out Before The Election

If chained CPI were applied to Social Security, it would change the way inflation is calculated and thereby lower the rate at which an individual’s Social Security benefit increases. Consequently, chained CPI would save the government billions—at the same time that it would deny Social Security recipients billions in cost of-living adjustments.

Such cuts to “entitlements” threaten the livelihoods of America’s old people who rely on Social Security checks for food to eat and a place to sleep, like the 21 percent of America’s single or widowed women over 65 who live in poverty—meaning they survive on less than $10,788 a year. THIS DOESN'T SOUND LIKE "SHARE THE WEALTH!!"

Isn't social security a form of socialism?

It does I guess but it shouldn't. No reason I should be paying somebody that never paid a dime in. Yet I have to and it will be broke in a few yrs cause of this lazy bunch that no longer wants to work.

What you talking about here is SSI. It has nothing to do with the Social Security you paid in. Come from a different pot.

I liked mine ok for a while tonight. By the end of the night. I've decided. She's probably leaving here. Independent to a fault. My fault probably. Hunted her whole life alone. I don't really think it can be fixed by me with a low Coon population. I hate it to. I get to attached to em

I WAS REFERING TO OLD AGE SOCIAL SECURITY. OWEBUMMER WANTS TO CHANGE THE COST-OF-LIVING FOR IT. IT INCREASED 1.7 % THIS MONTH. THAT'S ABOUT 12.00 FOR THE AVERAGE RECIPIENT. AFTER PAYING MORE FOR MEDICARE, YOU GET A WHOPPING 5.00 EXTRA. IF MY WIFE IS REAL GOOD,I'M GONNA TAKE HER TO MICKEY D'S. AND IF SHE PROMISES TO PUT OUT A LITTLE, I'LL PROBABLY LET HER SUPER-SIZE IT!!!! THIS IS THE PROGRAM STARTED LONG AGO, AND THE POLITICIANS STOLE IT BLIND. BUT NOT TO WORRY, OWEBUMMER WILL PROBABLY GIVE OUT VOUCHERS IF IT GOES BELLY UP!!!
