-- How often? (http://forums.ukcdogs.com/showthread.php?threadid=928296924)

How often?

Truthfully , how often do your dogs get hunted. Every day, once a week, once a month or never I just like to get on the Internet and make up stories of how good my dog is and how bad someone else's dog is and I love to give advice on things I know little or nothing about. Lol if you read this post please leave a comment I love the creative mind of the coon hunter.

Ok I will go first , I hunt about once a week and love to get on here and ask questions about things I think I know the answer to so I can argue with someone who post a comment. Just kidding , but I do ask questions I think I know the answer to ,hoping to find someone who will agree with me. It makes me feel better when I can find someone who thinks like me. It's comforting knowing your not the only crazy person out there.

I work 28 days on & 28 days off on a river boat. So the month I'm gone ole blue doesnt get hunted. On the flip side the month I'm home I hunt anywhere from 14 to 21 nights depending on weather etc. I keep a journal of all my hunts so that's an actuate figure!

If weather allows i am out every nite...which is usually 4-5 nites a week...if i am hitting a hunt they dont usually get hunted the nite before or after....

I am away from late spring till late fall...about 6 months and might only get to hunt a few nites that entire time frame...hoping for a good year round job so that ends....was real worried that lay up would ruin my pup...he was just starting to become real solid and confident at a year old last spring when i left...

I hunted him a few nites over the summer when i made it home and he was doing fine like i never left...fall and winter now i got him out every nite thats worth hunting and he is doing great

Rob Reid

I used to work on the M/V Luke Burton but I'm pilot on the M/V Susan Stall. I work for Canal Barge Co.
