Help on Training Techniques
I need some help and suggestions. I have a ten month old pup thats running and treeing her own coon. Strikes, runs the track good and will hit the tree and hammer the leaves off of it. The problem is when I get about twenty to thirty yards from the tree she shuts up and leaves (thank goodness for garmin and marking the tree). She will go out about fifty to seventy five yards, pick up the same track and run it back into the tree. How do you break a hound from doing that. Her only being ten months old I don't want to get rough with her around the tree cause I don't want to screw her up at the tree. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
When she gets off the tree give her some lite taps wih the e collar

Tie her back aways where she can see the tree.It aint always going to work but she is young.Catch her where she is re tracking but can see the tree...knock the coon out and DO NOT LET HER HAVE A SNIFF...not a sniff-I dont care how bad she wants it or how much she barks-if you are weak and give it to her you are not going to help her...no reward till she trees and stays.

after she leaves and comes back in do I praise her and then tie her back or do I just catch her and tie her back. Really this is my first pup to train and I'm just cautious about doing something and screwing her up.
no dot prais her she will think she is doing a good job doing what she is already doing

The only time u want to praise her is when she gets hooked with the grease and stays
