pup backtracking its self
Little over a year old will get in there a tree coon but been trying to recut after first tree and have him go tree another and some times he'll go get trees and sometimes he'll go a ways then turn around and come right back his own tracks wont go back to tree just go right to where he was cut in the beginning and sit there.does it on a hole to will bark down a minute then head back. Ive switched him till he went hunting and will go hunting but doesn't seem to help any for the next time.
try bumping him with the e collar. Has work for me on alot of pups or young dog

Sounds like the making of a real peasure dog. He has enough sense to track himself back and not run wild or bark lost.
Give him a shock when you realize he's going on his own track i had a young dog was doing the same thing when he holed a coon a few times and he stoped

Any other advice bumping him just makes him come running n faster.....I have him to where wen I tone him he comes back and guess wen i bump him wen hes already coming back he thinks im wanting him to come so may have made it worse every time I meet him half way n make him go hunting he just go's around me n go's back to the truck
