The Pride 26/20

Anyone using this food?

Been feeding different blends of Pride for years. I fed the 26 20 a couple years ago and then switched back to the Pride 26 18. Seemed like just as good of feed as the 26 20 and was a little less a bag. I mix Pride 24 20 and Pride 26 18 in the winter for my dogs. Summer time I like the 21 17 blend the best. Here's a picture of a 5 month old pup that was running loose and being fed the 26 18.

WISH PRIDE WOULD COME UP WITH SOMETHING LIKE PURINA AND THE WEIGHT CIRCLES GETING MONEY BACK OR SOMETHING

The Pride 26-20 is chicken based, the other Pride feeds mentioned are porcine (pork) based. I've had trouble with my dogs overheating when feeding porcine based feeds. IMO the 2 Pro-Series Pride feeds (26-20 and 21-17) are much better feeds than their regular feeds.

I feel the same way about the 26 18 Vic, and was pretty sure about the Corn also, but when I saw the post from K. Singletary it did make me wonder a bit. He is farther south in hotter country so I'm sure has to deal with heat issues more. I'm paying $20.35 a bag for the 24 20 and $24.30 for the 26 18 so I'm mixing the 24 20 in with the 26 18 right now. When it is below freezing I'm also mixing 10 oz of milk replacer in with 2 gallons of water for 13 dogs. Dogs are slick as ribbons now and I have my feed bill down to around $200 a month so I'm pretty happy with that.

The chicken by product meal used in all dog foods doesn't have feathers or heads, just meat, skin, organs and the intestinal tract.

That is why the ash is so low.

Been feedin pride 24/20 black bag for a while an very pleased with it an never had a dog get sick or die from it!

The 26/18 and 21/17 Pro Series are there best feeds in my opinion. Summer time ill switch to the brown bag 22/16 and dogs do fine on it. Ive never had an issue with the pride feed just hard to get it sometimes

"Feed Grade" does, but that doesn't go into dog food.

Does a feather get in sometimes? Probably, but so does it in higher priced Chicken Meal.

Here is the definitiion:

"Chicken by-product meal consists of the ground, rendered, clean parts of the carcass of slaughtered chicken, such as necks, feet, undeveloped eggs and intestines, exclusive of feathers, except in such amounts as might occur unavoidable in good processing practice."

I love both of the pride pro series I feed the green bag in the summer and the orange bag in the winter keeps em lookin good. And only 1 firm stool a day what more could you ask for.

Have used the orange bag Pro-Series on both my coon and deer dogs, and mostly use the regular black bag on the deer dogs year round. Can't really say I have any complaints about it.
