My male here is doubled up with Spanky, but not real close. I have him in the 5th generation on top and the 4th generation on the bottom. There is other dogs in my male's pedigree that added to the beutiful natural coon getter that he is.

I also have a half sister to the male mentioned above with Spanky in the 4th gen on the bottom.

I plan on introducing Spanky in the pedigrees a little closer here.

I also plan on another Hazel Hill Hammer very soon out of semen. The first Hazel Hill Hammer came in 1963 out of the Original Northern Blue Hammer. I think it's time to add more Hammer.

I talked to Dave just a few weeks ago. He has a litter of pups due that are out of a brother sister cross. The brother/sister are out of Spanky semon and a granddaughter to Spanky. The pups will certainly be loaded with Spanky blood.
I have a 4 month old male pup out of Hammer XIII and a granddaughter to Spanky. Smart little rascal, hope he turns out like I want.
I have 2 young females and one male that carry Spanky five generations back. There is a Dual Grand male down at Cleveland, Tx that has Spanky four generations back. This dog is one very tuff coondog. This dog has won everywhere Tyson has hunted him.

I think Cris Newman, down close to Houston, TX has a female pup close to a year old, that is direct off Spanky.

Tommy Higgins has 2 off Spanky semen. I'm not sure how they're doing now, I'd say they would be around 16 months old.

IMO. I believe better results will come from 3rd and 4th gen Spanky. Now this is just my opinion based on my own observations.

Yes,
I think 3 or 4 generations down the line, especially with the right outcross, and then doubled back, has been very good to me.
The first outcross was with the Mad-Dog line from Tim and Paul Vaughn, then my second outcross was with the old Moody Creek Blue Jammer blood and my Dad's old Nolan Creek blood (Smokey River blood going all the way back to 1956 and Northern Blue Jet blood).

Spanky Blood

Our GR NT Joker dog has Sparetime Spanky in the 3rd gen, Quad Grand Sid has Sparetime Spanky in the 4th gen, Dual Grand Smoke has Spanky in the 5th gen and GR CH NT CH Astro dog has Spanky in the 5th gen top and bottom. All of these dogs get their Spanky blood by way of our CH GR NT CH Mad Dog Banging Blue Spanky (direct son of ole Spanky)

Dual Grand Mad Dog Ranger has Sparetime Spanky in the 5th gen and GR NT John II has Sparetime Spanky in the 4th.

My male dog is a grandson of Spanky on the Dam's side and a great grandson on the Sire's side. I believe this is about as close as you can get unless you can find one out of an AI breeding. If your interested shoot me a PM. I'd like to get a pup out of him before he's too old. He's out of Sandberg's Bock and Treein Blue Emmy, both Grand nites. He's never been bred but he's a litter mate brother to Double Bock who has reproduced very well.

I got him in second on my young nite ch and looking to breed him to nice femal2 made nt ch @ 13 mths at state hunt and fall roundup. nice hound super fast runs track with head up nice long locate a def man can hear and nice tree dog. located in indiana 45 min from ill line.

4-way grand from wv was bred to a grand daughter to spanky I think last week I gave them the female.I bred to wild blue spanky seman to get that litter her mother was doubled up on spanky also I think the dogs name is newsome ranger

THE LITTLE FEMALE THAT JUNIOR KING WON QUEEN OF HUNT AT THE NATIONAL HUNT WITH WAS OUT OF LUKE AND A QUAIL CREEK JIMMY FEMALE. HE BOUGHT HER FROM ME 2MONTHS PRIOR TO THAT HUNT. HAD A LITTERMATE FEMALETO JERRY TURBEVILLES MUSICMAN DOG OUT OF LUKE AND DUALGR. OXY. TURNED DOWN 3500.00 FOR HER AT 14 MONTHS OLD AND SHE GOT KILLED ON THE ROAD. JEFF GLOVER OF SHELBINA MISSOURI BOUGHT 3 DIFFERENT LUKE DOGS AT DIFFERENT TIMES
AND HAD ALL 3 AT THE SAME TIME. SAID THEY WERE GOOD ENOUGH TO COLLECT AND HOLD ON TO. SENT A MALE OUT OF THE SAME CROSS AS SPANKY BUT A DIFFERENT LITTER WITH EARL LOCKHARD DOWN TO GEORGIA. THE DOG TURNED OUT BUT EARL KINDA DISAPPEARED FROM THE SCENE AS FAR AS COMP. HUNTING.

I think he told me $800.00 for one of these pups.
Right now Dave has been sick and a little hard to get on the phone, but you have to keep on trying.
