I was glad to hear it is now a UKC event. Got a couple pups I am starting over with. I was curious how the show is going to be run. Is it going to be a full show both days or divided like other events? I also was curious if if there will be any special classes such as dual ch or pairs?

In years past they (that day's judge) picked a King and Queen of show for both days and have the 4 dogs (if not the same for both days) be judged by a selected 3 person panel (usually UKC licensed judges) and then pick your Overall and Opposite Sex. But that's what I've seen them do for this in years past. I have no idea for a Dual Ch. class or a pairs class.

Thanks for the info! I just have a couple of pups I am looking to show. Don't expect to win overall just wondered if it was going to be run similar to say something like Winter Classic where opens n duals on one day and ch n grch on another day. If that was the case, then was wanting to know the schedule and whether or not to schedule some PTO.

Show is at 5pm both days. That's all I know. It doesn't say anything about pairs or Dual Class in the add so I doubt they'd have it then. JMO.

Pretty sure we aren't gonna have any pairs or dual class' this year but we are always looking for ideas on how to make this event better for next year and years to come.

I was more worried about whether they would have all open, CH, and GRCH classes both days or if they would split it between days. That be great to have a pairs class for next year as my pups would b more matured, I would show them for pairs. This year will just be the show for me, next year I hope to compete in the field trial, swim, show and hunt. Just have to see if they ready if they are anything like their sire, we will be there to compete!

Im new to compititition hunting ukc when is th eheartland hunt and where if someone could pm me about it . Ive been in unregistered hunts but i kept a pup out of a dog i bred and want to enter in ukc hunts

it never was a pkc hunt, it use to be akc. there will be a four wheeler hunt in iowa that is pkc sanctioned.
