Another great one gone

Gr Nt Ch PKC Gold Ch Mister Jack passed away earlier this week. He was an outstanding coon dog and an even better reproducer. Jack was the UKC #1 reproducer for a few years until he went sterile due to age. He reproduced the kind of hounds that we need more of today.

Proud to say I got some Mr. Jack leagacy in my kennel and my brother has some too. Shouldn't have to go to far to keep that blood going around here. Jack sure could reproduce. My brothers Eightball dog should finish to dual grand this year and has done a lot of winning. He's mo state champ this year qualified for the purina nationals this year and last. Won the Shriners hunt two years in a row and several other hunts. He's real nice. Planning on having his first litter of pups later on this year. Can't wait to see if he can produce as we'll as Jack did.

was Jack ever collected?

Posted by midmohunter on 12-17-2012 03:57 AM:

As far as I know he was never collected. You could call Pat Keller at (217) 779-2941 and he could tell you more, but I'm pretty sure they never collected him. From what I understand they didn't really start breeding him until later in his life, and they never advertised or tried to promote him. He was that successful with his breeding and it was all done by word of mouth. That's pretty phenomenal I think

Randy Booth owned him but I don't have his number. Pat could probably answer your questions or put you in touch with Randy.

If you want some jack blood i could put you in touch with my brother and he would take you for a hunt with his male.
