Pacquiao-Marquez IV Tonight

Any boxing fans planning to watch the 4th go in this series?

LOL, expect it to live up to the previous 36 rounds - close scoring rounds and controversial.

Think like 7 points difference in the previous 36 rounds seperates them.

Pacquiao's last few fights have not been to exciting. I am a Southpaw fan so I will be rooting for Pacquiao.

WOW -- This fight did not live up to the first 3 fights.

Pacquiao Career Done == Knocked Out Cold in 6th Round

Will not be surprised if Pacquiao retires after this fight.

it was a great fight. manny came in wanting to make sure it didnt go the judges for a fourth time and in the process got caught with a huge right hand he didnt see coming. thats what happens when you go for a ko, sometimes you end up the one being knocked out. he was wining the fight at the time and had marquez in alot of trouble.

after most every round, the people at the bar i was watching the fight at were clapping due to the action being so good.

this was old school boxing, back like when hearns hagler and leanord would go all out and there would be mulitple knock downs and someone woul dend up going to sleep.

I don't think it was a great fight........there were moments in each round where there was some sparks -- normally at the end of the rounds.

Marquez's training for this fight paid off as his strength held off Manny enough to get the knock out shot. Towards the end of that round Marquez's legs were wobbly. LOL, it appeared Manny was 1 round from having that knock out blow.

LOL, that one punch pretty much sealed the coffin of a Mayweather Jr. fight.

Manny has been a PPV $$$ cash cow but his last few fights have been mediocre and with 2 losses.

If he stays in it, will probably go down like De La Hoya's did at the end of his career.

Manny was the first eight-division world champion - but no doubt his last few fights have shown that he is no longer the fight he was. I don't know if I would blame it so much as on age (he just lost to a 39 year old), but more on his hands are in so many things that don't know that he is giving to 100% in training and preparing for matches. Besides being a congressman in his home country, he has a game show, pitchman for products, and etc....

buckshot come on man, it was boxing at its best. here is the espn article on it with highlighted quotes.

http://espn.go.com/boxing/story/_/i...iao-fitting-end

"Before the clean knockout, it had been a tremendous action fight and a fitting bout in their all-time great series, which began in 2004 and has stretched across 21 pounds, four fights and 42 rounds."

"They certainly fought like it, delivering all the action the fans could have hoped for in perhaps the best overall action fight of the series"

"But in the fifth round, he was moving well and the fighters rumbled in a round of the year candidate -- maybe the most exciting round of the series"

"Pacquiao (54-5-2, 38 KOs) landed a nice straight left hand, rocking Marquez (55-6-1, 40 KOs), sending him reeling and forcing him to touch his glove to the mat for a knockdown. But Marquez responded, going right at Pacquiao and hurting him with a right hand. They slugged toe-to-toe for most of the rest of the round."

"

rance56, I was not impressed with this 4th bout. I was hoping for more pound for pound slugging. Don't get me wrong, it was good fight....but it wasn't a great fight. To me, it did not live up to the first 3.

To be honest, there has really been no exciting fights or fighters for that matter for the last few years. Too many up and coming contenders end up being pretenders.

I can't remember the last time I even watched a Heavy Weight fight.

Guess I will turn to MMA - something my boys are already up on. Heck even those girls will scrap it out. LOL

Does not show it here I'm guessing edited, but it took about 2 minutes to wake him up. His wife was freaking out.

I'm not sure if any one else shares the same opinion. I watch more boxing than probably 99percent of the population so I'm pretty qualified to make a judgement on it. First time I can remember fans at a bar clapping after the rounds cause the action was good.

Best young fighter I've seen n years is Adrian broner. He is the next may weather Canello Alvarez is another young fighter with a lot of potential star power

Btw the mma fight on fox that happened the same night was a sleep fest compared to Marquez manny. There was 3 knockdowns in 6 rounds. Both fighters hitting the canvas. That's real action
