For those of you that don't know, a triathlon begins 2.4 mile swim (pulling his son while others do not have to pull anything), followed by 112 miles of bicycling (with his son on the front while everyone else uses a 2 lb. bike) and ends with a 26.2 mile run (pushing a stroller while everyone else runs for themselves). The goal of the team was not to win, but to allow the son to compete in the events. As you can see in the video, the father is no "spring chicken" either.

This family is so special to all of us here in MA.
I grew up at the end of the Boston Marathon... and Bob ant the beginning of it... so BOTH of us has had opportunity to watch the Hoyt family run the Marathon! SPECIAL to say the least!!!
I was a Therapeutic Riding instructor so their story meant a lot to me in many ways.... most importantly they just WARM YOUR HEART don't they????

I am THankful for alot... I am Thankful EACH AND EVERYDAY I wake.... For every day good or bad... for every ache and pain... because that means I am ALIVE.... Every good thing because that means I am loved.... I am Thankful as well that a part of my lefe was devoted to helping people who helped me to learn waht it would be like to live with limitations... and to LIVE to the fullest and not let limits lessen life.....

God Bless you all during this season and I am Thankful for posts like this!
