I think I have asked this before....

about how the UKC PKC and AKC registering goes. My dog is UKC only but the dog that we might breed to is UKC PKC and AKC also. I can't remember if we can single register the pups with PKC or AKC or what. Info would be greatly appreciated on that!

why not single register your hound and then you can register the litter a lot cheaper then doing each pup.

You can contact PKC and they will tell you to make a copy of your hounds papers from the UKC and send that copy with 25 dollars and that is it all registered. Not sure on AKC I never messed with them.

sometimes multiple registrations look better for the buyers of the pups in case they want to do more than just coon hunt.

AKC. is easy enough, they will register useing your UKC. papers. Your papers will come back marked FOUNDATION STOCK.
Cant do it with a Black+tan.

all of the coonhounds, except Leopard, are recognized in AKC. you will get a full registration. B&T depends on if the books are still open. search their site for your breed and you will get the info or go to the registration page

Leopards are eligible to be AKC single registered now also.

only in coonhound part, NOT for full recognition, only FSS. which means you cannot show them in conformation. all other coonhounds are fully recognized with full registration privileges.

The Foundation Stock Service (FSS) is now availabe for the American Leopard Hound per club's request. The National (parent) Club contact info will be available and posted soon. Dogs with a non-AKC 3 generation pedigree are eligible for FSS registration using the FSS registation application.
