Garmin Help

I have a 320, but for the life of me I can't get it to show me back roads. It will show back roads, schools, etc. in western Ohio and Indiana, but nothing but main roads in eastern Ohio.
Any help?

Laura, it is entirely possible the map data for eastern Ohio has not been downloaded to your map card.
The Astro comes from the factory with a "base map" of all major roads already but the secondary roads require the map card. In the portions of the state where you are seeing the back roads, do you see the the topography lines too? If you are not seeing the topo lines when you are not seeing the back roads, I would think this would be your problem.

Laura

Mine was doing the same thing when I first got it. Try getting a piece of paper foil and fold it just a bit smaller than your map card. Couple layers thick will do. Slide the foil under the hidged door after it's open and then close it back up and lock in. Hindge was bad on mine and this fixed it!!

Interesting... I would think if your card was not seated correctly it would be like there was no map data at all, for anywhere that was downloaded on the map card. Laura has map data for some sections and some sections not.
Stranger things have happened though I am sure.

Thanks for the help guys. I'm going to send the card to Jim on here and he's going to load it for me. In my area I could see nothing but main roads, it would look similar to a mapquest map. I tried adding some paper make the card stay put, but that didn't do the trick.
So we'll see once I get the card back if it works!

I must admit the Map card holder is really Cheep !! I would think that such a small Part of a Great device would be like it is !!

sound slike the topo card just dont have her area on it.

as far as the cheap card door i have had a 220 and a 320 i had to put a piece of coffee cup styrofoam under the bat to make the topo map contact correctly.
since i got the birds eye view i turned the topo map off. dont need it.
