Bluetick Coonhound needs rescue from a shelter
UKC registered Coonhound U801,929 born 07/26/2005 at high risk of being euthanized at the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter, Georgetown, TX. Sire was 'PR'IVAN'S RUNN'IN BLUE JAKE. Dam was 'PR' MAGGIE MAY. Breeder was Valerie Bernhardt in Bertram, TX. If anyone knows how to get in touch with her or can rescue, please call 512-943-3322.
hound in a shelter?
animal shelters/dog pounds here are loaded with coonhounds.
It may need to be euthanized. Does it have problems? Was it running loose, health reasons, what? Hope you find the owner!
If you were the breeder, wouldn't you want to know that one of your dogs was in a shelter?

Home to a bunch of short dogs who occasionally allow me the honor of holding the other end of their leads!
dumb question???
how does the shelter know the ped.?
they bring papers in with the dog?
It it was an owner surrender, possibly.

Why would they even put this on a coonhunting site? I doubt there is a dogpound in the country that will allow coonhunters to adopt dogs.

Yeah actually they do adopt out to hunters. Even pit bulls to hog hunters if you can believe that!!! I don't think they give the papers to you though. Something to do with the CYA about (what if the papers are wrong) how could they get sued. Sounds to me like a problem dog that was surrendered by owner for whatever reason. I imagine it's a gonner!
