Trailing & Treeing

Big and tight mouth seems to be the Trait every ones leaning to these days, i still like the open trailer with good clear mouths!
is there a strain of hounds today what ever color, that opens according to track and builds as it gets better ?
Nothing better to listen to than a good hot race to the tree with a dieing locate @ the end and have the meat........

These hooper Ridge hounds are somewhat that way. I agree it is getting harder and harder to find this style of hound. When looking for an outcross I struggle to find that she style dog that will match up with what I have.

Good Luck with your search.

Trail and tree

I was looking at the pic of the Coma Hound on another post, Build wise he looks like he had it all, but i dont think he was the kind of hound i would look for, i,e, the big loud mouth trail drifter, i dont mind the drifting but when it gets hot i like a hound to open up and run to catch. thats just what i prefer, not a slam to coma just dont want the big loud and tight type of hound. loud is ok if he knows how to use his mouth right, open when in front only........
