Is global warming a myth?

Do you believe global warming is a real issue or just a myth? Curious to know what people think.

Would have to go with l.lyle on this , things do go in a circle and are repeated every so often. The differnce now is folks have a few measuring gizmos, figured out to make them work, and get more gizmos and a pile of cash, just get a few folks to believing the BS ... work on that "guilt" and wait by the mailbox for the money to start rolling in.
Shoot, back in the late 70's the talk was that an Ice Age was coming, seems they missed that one too ! If you study geology, the Earth has been a lot warmer and a lot colder, time after time, and we wasn't around to cause it !

You can take this to the bank. People are by their very nature Religious. There are Christians and Jews and Hindus and Buhdists and Moslems and Satan Worshippers and atheists and GREEN Environmentalist. They are all religions like it or not. They believe what they believe.

I see some say they don't know enough about it. 3 people as of now. Please search Krebs cycle. It is layed out very easy to understand. For Example take 6 parts water (H2O) and 6 parts of the same carbon dioxide (CO2) ALGORE is up in arms about, and run it through a plant , not a industrial plant just a regular corn plant and combine that with sunlight that warms the earth and is also AlGORES nemesis, the process is photo synthesis that people learned to emulate to synthesize Solar pannels and Green Energy) anyway what you get is 1 sugar (C6H12O6) ditto 6 H2O + 6 CO2 + sunlight = 1 C6H12O6 (sugar) and 1 O2 is left over and it goes into the air we breathe called Oxygen. Thank you farmers and thank the plants they plant.

As of right now a 2:19 AM there have been 142 views. 10 believe in Global warming . 6 don't. And 3 are undecided.

I won't even ask if you think it can be caused or, in particular fixed, by Man and Money. LOL.

If there wasn't global warming of some kind,the earth would still be covered with glaciers.the earth has been "warming" forever.

shooting satellites,space shuttles,rockets, and etc. into space and punching a hole in the ozone layer does more damage than anything!!

I am skeptical of the science, but the thing that I am really skeptical about are the computer generated predictions.

The Earth and its weather are both extremely dynamic. There are many variables that we still don't completely comprehend. How can a man with limited knowledge program a computer to take into account all the variables including the unknown variables? Listen, all it takes is 1 volcano to really mess the picture up.

This doesn't mean that I don't believe we shouldn't actively protect our planet. The thing is we must do it with reason, and not out of some fanatical belief that the sky is falling.

I haven't been there to see it with my own eyes so I guess I'm taking someone else's word. But there is no question in my mind the earth is warming.

The amount of glaciers and ice at the poles are being reduced at a staggering rate. This is proven through pictures, video, and eyewitness observation of the polar ice over a period of years.

What's caused this and how far it might go might be debatable but it would be foolish to question that its happening.

Larry the computer simulations are dated by a few years. There is plenty of evidence that the earth is warming at a rapid rate. It's out there. And l Lyle, trust me I'm all for being skeptical about things but this isn't one to stand up on your conservative platform about. Krebs cycle? Honestly? That's bizarre to me you referenced that and citris acid. That's similar to folks claiming the earth is only 9000 years old when it's plain as day that stars are thousands of light years away and it takes hundreds of years to notice a star has burned out from earth. Now, I do believe humans have only been on the earth for 9k years, give or take. But I'm willing to bet you believe the earth is only a few thousand years old too. That's fine if people do, but don't come on a message board and spout nonsense and try and get people to believe stuff that isn't factual. Of course this is all my little ole humble opinion.

Now: saying that, I DO believe global warming and green earth awareness is a racket. We're doin this to our earth, but guess what? We have to! Giving millions of dollars to geeks like gore so he can funnel it to whatever turd is trying to fix it is the wrong way to go. It's a money making scheme IMO and I don't like the way it's handled. But to think we haven't damaged irreparably damaged our ozone is asinine. It's common sense to know we are doing damage. But guess what? We have to!

If you are curious on fact have you typed two simple words in googlesearch "Krebs Cycle"? Must be you rather take Algores word for it. Jump to conclusion strong enough to bet that I think the Earth is 9000 years old well you'd be wrong again.

Global warming, Ozone problems etc etc are nothing more than groups of folks getting money from the government... And dont forget the news media.. Its all plain CRAP

I agree that the earth has natural cooling and warming cycles. With that said I find it hard to believe that we can continue to fill the atmosphere with greenhouse gases without experiencing some type of change.

I have not studied it enough to make an educated guess as to what that change might be, or the impact it will have on the earth. It is just common sense to know that it will have some type of effect.

Whether or not that change constitutes "global warming" as we have been led to believe is impossible to know.

I'm happy to see the "Flat earth society is alive and well." I agree with most of you that little ol man couldn't make the earth grow warmer at such an incredible rate. I'm proud to get my facts on this issue from Fox News and I will continue to ignore what those ignorant climatologists tell us.

If I need brain surgery I plan on having it done by a carpenter.
