How is hunt'in season treating you?

Has your season started and how is it going?

Mine is going well, and I am really looking forward to the rest of season. Working at adding some polish on a nice prospect. One night I ran into 3 different groups of coon hunters on my way to the woods, and we still had a good night.

Well I feel like a Kentucky Derby Favorite that was left in the paddock and forgot to be saddled, LOL. Our hunting season here in ohio doesn't come in for another 3 1/2 weeks. So I'm just gonna have to sit back and read about all the fun you guys are having in every state that borders Ohio. One of the highest coon populations in the country, and I cannot get our wildlife managers to even consider giving us a couple more days in early November to help reduce the population of our fur bearing (nuisance) animal.

So Go get em Guys and keep me posted on how much fun your having watching that new prospect come alive.

I do enjoy reading these kind of posts

Have a great hunting season!!

Thank You Guyan kennels for the invite. I may just take you up on that one of these nights. Where are you located? I have a buddy down near Point Pleasant that takes me for some LIVE ACTION during this time of the year. He is a great guy to hunt with, and we have had a lot of fun over the years.

Best of luck to you, Have fun!!

Our season started October 1st. I am pretty selective on how many I shoot early in season. I try to reward the dog when she has done a very good job, but only once a night.

I have been hunting 4 nights a week, but I have only shot out 6.

I am really enjoying my son's dog right now. She seems to get everything done very quickly. Last year when my son needed driving time, he hunted every weekend with me. This year he has a driver's license, and he has only been out once with me in early September. Oh well, he is missing out on some good action.
