Top Ten?

Can someone please explain the point system for top ten bench show points I'm confused on how it works lol

You get a certain amount of points per dog defeated within its own class. I cannot exactly remember the amount of points per dog, but I do know that it increases as the dog advances towards GRCH. (example) You win CH male and beat 8 dogs you get 2 poits per dog beaten, you would earn 16 total points in that show. Then once you reach GRCH I think its 3 points per dog. I just cant remember the exact number of points per dog, I do know that its in the rule book just dont have it with me at the moment. Hope that this helps.

you get 1 point for every dog you beat as a registered (same sex) - for instance you win best male of show and there are a total of 10 males, you would get 9 points.
same for champions except you get 3 points for each dog you beat.
grand champions are similar, if you are the only grand champion in the show you get 2 points and if you have competition you get 4 points for each dog you beat.
points are only counted on dogs of the same sex and at big shows such as WC or AO you have to win overall CH, GRCH, Best of Show to get any points, breed wins don't count. also, I don't think they award any top ten points for the World Show since all dogs show together.

the book also says that they put into account of the total amount of dogs in the entire show also but doesnt explain it
