Stanly Co NC animal control ordinance

October News

Stanly County is considering a new animal control ordinance. A copy of the latest draft may be found on our website www.ncsportingdog.org. Click on the Stanly County icon on the left side of our home page. Articles I through V of the draft ordinance are of special relevance and concern. If you are a Stanly County hunter, review the proposed Ordinance and attend the Monday, October 15, 2012 County Commissioners Public Meeting at 7:00 pm in Stanly County.

Animal rights activists are pushing for a breeder bill for January 2013 at the NC legislature. HSUS and PETA want to require breeders to have hot and cold running, potable water at the kennel, temperature regulated kennels (not below 50 or above 85 degrees), regulating the size of kennels, and much more. It is oppressive and unreasonable legislation, but it is coming. What can you do? VOTE! Send pro-gun and pro-dog legislators to Raleigh, please!

Elections give us the right to vote for pro-hunting and pro-gun candidates. Hunters need to vote in the local, state, and federal elections. Our rights are under assault. If you are not yet registered to vote in NC, register at least 25 days before the day of the election. Register by Friday, October 12, 2012 in order to vote in this important election.

Voting begins in “One Stop Voting” on 10/18/12 & continues through 11/3/12. Yes, you can vote early. For more information, visit the NC Board of Elections: http://www.ncsbe.gov.

Join the Fight! If you have not renewed your membership in the NC Sporting Dog Association, please do so. Support the fight for your right to hunt with dogs. Visit www.ncsportingdog.org to download the membership form. Ask your Club to join with a Club Membership. If you have never joined us, now is the time.

the NC Coonhunters Association along with the Sporting Dog Assoc is working on this. THIS IS WHAT YOUR DUES SUPPORT! Please join your local club and if that club is a member of the NCCHA, your are automatically a member of the Sporting Dog Assoc.

remember, not all clubs are paid members of the NCCHA. encourage your club to join. ALL of our rights depend on the support of the citizens.

You should call Allen and ask him to make this a sticky at the top of the page..This is very important, just last week California passed a no hunting period with a dog..
All of you that think this can't happen here, I hate to break your heats. It can and will if you let it and can easily happen in any county or state across the country

i said it till i was blue in face, if we dont stand up to the hsus and stop them its only goin to get worse u need to call u state reps and tell em that u do not support these type of org and would be votin for people with same views as yourself sittin back not doin anything will loose u everything u enjoy if u dont believe me just sit there and watch,,, u hunters in nc call and tell em that u do not want this crap in ur state they do listen,,,, do some reseaech on them missouri has pretty much run them out of their state cause of lil stupid bills like this
