ky season
personaly i think its to early hides are no where near prime for u hide hunters. now it just give the people who sit home all summer an extra month to leagly jacklight them and shoot 3 or 4 out of one tree
Went and made one drop. Quick tree and drove within 130 yds. Found the coon and beat the rain. Couldn't ask for anything better.
You lucky guys!
I guess having it now is better than having it in September but it just seems weird having it now.Im working alot now and dont have time to hunt but I still probably wont get excited until the cold weather hits.Good luck to everybody and be safe.

My pup actually got one to climb last night but I didn't even pack the gun I was told season was bumped up to prevent coons from becoming a nuisance animal not really sure what the nuisance animal title would have brought on open season?

If they are allowed to put the coon on nuisance list it would end our coon hunting. It would let the farmers put poison out just like for rats around a barn. It would be in the woods and fields in which we hunt. We lost a Grand night female last year to fly dope when our female got in a farmers barn. We all need to thank the houndsman for looking out for us. If not we might as well sell our hounds .
