Ever Had One Of Them Nights?

I took my two females out tonight and cut them lose at the edge of a cornfield and they strike pretty much out of the gate. Well what comes next is a strang bark from my younger female that I never heard before, so me and my daughter start heading that way and the older female comes into the younger one and it sounds as if they got one on the ground. WRONG they had not one but two skunks cornered and the older female goes in and kills one (without getting sprayed) and so we grab them and move 200 or 300 yards away and re-cut them, wrong thing to do because the older female made a circle and went after the other one. (I know why the hell did you re-cut so close), As I said - just one of them nights and a bad judgement call on my part. Needless to say the second cut was not so lucky for the older hound and what a nasty walk back to the truck we had.

Just one of those crappy nights.

haha my thoughts too

There for awhile I was seeing alot of skunks in my travels but I havent seen as many around here lately.. I don't like my dogs running junk but i'd rather run about anything else other than a skunk, HATE the smell of them can't stand it
