World Ch Final Cast Play By Play - 2012

The final cast interviews are complete and in five minutes the final cast will be headed to the woods. Sounds like they are driving about 20 miles. They will be hunting a 1600 acre private parcel. I heard from Kevin Phillips that hunted there on Friday night that it is one of the nicest places to turn a hound loose that he has ever hunted. This is the warmest night we've had to hunt so far. 80 with winds out of the s.e. at 7 mph. Humidity 62.

Allen will be calling me from the field. I'll let you know as soon as they cut loose.

I will lock this thread to make it easy for you all to follow but feel free to start a discussion thread and I'll try to answer any questions you might have.

Just talked to Allen. Cast is en route. Should have some action in 30 minutes.

The judges comments are complete and cast is walking down a lane to where they are going to turn loose. Allen said it looks like a beautiful spot.

Dogs are cut loose. Allen didn't have a time. Lincoln is struck for 100. Frisky for 75 at 1:54.

Witch struck for 3rd at 1:51.

Skutter struck for 4th at 1:43.

Minus Skutter 25 for coming in. Allen said dogs are working bad tracks in three different directions.

Frisky declared treed at 1:23.

Skutter struck for 25 with a line under it.

Witch treed for 125.

Two is running on Frisky.

Two is broke on Frisky and they are headed to her. Allen said she is in there about a half and that Witch is at least a half in the other direction.

They had to put the two on Frisky again and it got her. Minus 125. They are headed to Witch.

They are just now arriving at Witch's tree. Haven't started shining. They can hear Skutter trailing right handed. Cannot hear Lincoln or Frisky.

Witches tree is circled.

Skutter treed for 125. Still cannot hear Frisky or Lincoln. 35 minutes left to hunt.

Witch was turned loose and struck back in for 100.

Skutter's tree is slick. Minus strike and tree.

Frisky is minus strike as she came back into cast after they had left the tree.

9 minutes left.

The cast is close to being in position where they will be better able to hear Lincoln before hunting time is up.

Reminder....this cast will hunt for one hour intervals if there is no plus points at the end of regulation.

O.K...here ya go. Time is up. Delete Lincoln and Witch's 100 strike points. At the end of regulation the score is:

Skutter: 175-
Witch: 175 circle
Frisky: 200-
Lincoln: 0

The Judges and Master of Hounds will determine an amount of time for handlers to catch dogs and they will hunt one hour of over time in an effort to score plus points. They can hunt one hour intervals until official sunrise which I believe is 7:04 a.m. or something like that. All dogs keep their current score going into over time.

All dogs have been recovered and the cast is on the road to the next drop.

Overtime is underway. Dogs were turned loose. Frisky struck for 100. Lincoln for 75.

Skutter is struck for 50. Witch struck for 25.

Witch treed for 125. Skutter treed for 75.

Move Skutter up to 125 as he is split.

Lincoln treed for 125. All three dogs are treed within 150 yards of each other.

Frisky is treed for 75 with Lincoln.

Move Frisky up to 125. She was about 20 yards from Lincoln. Two minutes left on Witch's shining time.

Witch's tree is circled.

Skutter's tree is plussed !

Lincoln was treed on a big cypress and it's circled.

Frisky is plussed.

They have walked away from her tree and recast all dogs. So with 20 minutes left I have unofficially:

Skutter: 0
Witch: 325 circle
Frisky: 25+
Lincoln: 200 circle

Lincoln has been struck for 100. Eight is running on him.

Witch struck for 75. Breaks the eight on Lincoln.

Witch is getting deep right handed. Lincoln is getting deep straight in front of the cast. Nobody else struck. Less than 9 minutes to hunt.

Frisky is struck for 50.

Overtime period is done. Delete all strike points.
