I have a year old walker that i have showed to many caged coons to him and he has learned sight instead of scent can someone please give me some tips on fixing my problem
hunt him
probaly take him out with aolder dog.If he is intrested in coon he will start trailing.I would probaly even hunt him by his self and hunt creeks and walk aways stop when he came back in walk some more till he hits a track.I dont think you hurt him any.If anything he got a little lazy on u
he will run a track he just quits when he gets to tree idk if they are a caged coon up the tree he will tree were he can see it but if he cant see it he wont tree

take him with another dog
that can tree a coo. When the other dog gets treed and your dog is there and not treeing tie him backshoot the coon out and dont let yoru pup have any of it though the coon up in the tree and get him to tree on it pet him up.When he gets treeing good on it throw it out to him and let him chew on it. Keep doing it.Till he starts doing it on his own.
but wont he see the coon up in the tree when i throw it up in it
