Congratulations to Jerrod and X...Jerrod hunts as hard as anybody I know he enjoys pleasure hunting X. I hope X wins it all also. You better bring a dog that can go look for a coon this week and work up a bad track if needed....the luck of the draw with guides will go a long way in determining the world champion!

Jerrod is showing up like a man should show up. Thats the difference in talk and doing.
Carol
He made the top 100 of the world championship. If he can win four cast wins with plus points he is the new ukc world champion. I half to say, he should have a nice advantange, in his home state where x should be use to the terrain. I hope he wins it all.

I would say you will be seeing some of his off springs in the world hunts in the coming years especially Extreme Skipper owned by clyde Little and a few more just too young at this stage to enter in the zones and make it all the way to the world hunt at such a young age.
Wheres all the other magazine dogs at too vauable to hunt of course and computer just waiting for the big articles and all the references and names of hunters that has bred to all of them just remember a piece of paper will let you type anything on it.

Other studs
I know Sweat It made it...who else....certainly best of luck to Curt and all others....good to see a local man get in with his stud dog, would be nice to have a world champion in La......as far as terrain, it is not the same for X as it is at the world hunt...we have hardwood bottoms to hunt, Jerrod does have some pine and oak mixture where on the east side of the state we have pretty much all hardwood timber bottoms....on the west side there is a lot more pine timber....hopefully they will have enough private clubs, etc. to guide to put the casts in some good hardwood timber
It is coming a flood now so there should be some moisture in the ground as forecast for the weekend calls for no rain the entire event.

Yeah but X does a lot of winning in Texas area I've notice and I was thinking Shrewport was there close to the border. Regardless he has a better shot just due to the long haul he doesn't half to make. But you can bet he will have his hands full. Good luck to all involved.
Most Studs
these days that are advertised are hunted in the hunts. Theres a few that are retired from the hunts for reason or the other but some have won big hunts and the owners just soon hunt there pups I guess. Also, If they don't look flawless someone will have something bad to say. Never know when they get scratched for fighting or what ever it may be, it usually kills there reputation. Breed one a lot and hunt in the hunts a lot and you usually have that problem. Theres actually only one male dog I've ever owned that you could breed him at 9 pm and drop him with three males at 10 pm and never have a problem out of him. But there are very few you can do that with. Needless to say Im not crazy about the stud dog business.
very few you can hunt and bred
