Fly Tags for flea control

I had a guy tell me he used cattle fly tags on his collars to control fles and ticks. Does anyone use them? If so, is there a certain kind to get? And do you use the whole tag?

I use a blue fly tag on my collars. just wrap it around the collar and put a zip tie on it. works pretty good for me.

i use the purple ones. they work for about three months. don't use the orange, they are too strong. dogs can't smell nothing. i have also used garlic & dogs could not smell a track at all.

I have been using the purple python tags on my dogs and I haven't noticed them helping but the fleas have been pretty bad this year though I couldn't hardly kill them in the yard by the kennel I do think the above ground kennel helped along with the liberty spot treatment but killing them in the yard was impossible

Tried a couple different ones and I did not think they helped at all. My dogs would have fleas and ticks all over them.

i have been using them and still got fleas pretty bad. I ended up breaking down and getting the vectra flea tubes from the vet and spraying around the kennels with the bayer insect killer and ortho home defense. Seems to have worked pretty well for me.

I can't find anything that works on fleas. About the only thing left is to kill the dogs.

Yeah, cesote (Krelin dip) worked good but can't find it around here. It worked too good that's why they took it off the market. They want you to keep coming back buying stuff. I'm glad they still make it. I'll try to find some on net thanks for the reply.

Get rid of them in your yard and kennel first. We havent had any flies at all. clean out your dog houses also.
