What is UKC's take on the host club having a jackpot? Is it against UKC rules or not?

I'd like to see some clubs to non sanctioned jackpots. Maybe do a series at three different clubs. Have each club throw 250 in the pot, do a poor boy hunt for 10, club gets 5, other 5 goes in the pot.

does the club get the money if there is no plus points it does happen

I guess I never really thought about that, but surely someone could score plus points over three events.

I thought about the no plus points thing, but wasnt concerned that it could happen over 3 hunts.

A jackpot really has nothing to do with the entry fee. You pay your entry, if you want in the jackpot, sign up in it, if not. Toodle doo. If you win your cast, and you bought in the jackpot, you collect. If you won your cast and you didn't get in jackpot, the money is split amongst other winners

Seems reasonable enough. I've never done one, I just think it'd be a good way to make money for the clubs around.

we did them with acha hunts. no plus points winner club keeps the pot and let it build up. then have a big hunt for the pot.

We've had nonsanctioned hunts in the past, they helped out the club alot. I don't think UKC is down with that but it's never a bad deal for the club to build money. We've done pound hunts during kill season on WMA land. That's fun and a lot of bragging rights.
