If you were going to breed this jip. What bloodlines would cross well with her?
She is a first strike first tree. Finished her to Nite Ch with 3 first. She has what I call the two mile mouth cause thats she is loud, clear, and it just carrys that good, and I want more just like her. I was thinking maybe Rube or even Insane X. I don't know just kinda throwing the idea around alittle.

If you want mouth aswell breed her to comas legend, comas pride etc,,,and another good one to cross her on would be tequila sunrise, any of those 3 and you will get hard hunting, deep and alone, big mouth, and most important 2 looking down! But the bottom line is if she is a top reproducer she will cross on anything and reproduce coon dawgs ! If she's not she won't! You won't know until you try but those 3 would be a good place to start!

Well
Lizzy has got alot of track in the way she hunts. I think over all she is a very well balanced dog. What are some studs that are producing pups like that?

gyp
dont know how far u r willing to travel but the way she is bred she prolly cross good on alot of studs i myself like judge dredd, mojo insane cane, but if it was my gyp she would go to petes stylish gus. he is getting hard hunting independent loud track driveing coon treeeing pups that start early
i would breed to rezeen just because i have hunted with him and have talked to others that have young pups out of him and he seems to be throwing early starting pups with huge mouths

Re: If you were going to breed this jip. What bloodlines would cross well with her?
looking at her ped,,and being in your backyard,if you not breeding for titles or just to sell pups...
i'd take her to the DR.LAW dog
that would bring the house and bozo blood back into line

How much mouth does she put on track? It all depends on what you like really. You got stud dogs that throw to much mouth on track and not enough and also tree happy dogs. Depends on what you're looking for. JMO, I'd breed to something Wipeout bred and not to toot my own horn cause I have one but a Skuna River line cause they are both well balanced, loud, accurate and independent. I've won three first places to make my hound a nitech cause other dogs open on track just to be barking I think and they get minused. But my opinion those two bloodlines would be great to breed to with what you have. Again that's my opinion. Whatever you pick I wish you luck bud.

Well Lizzy is not a babbler, and she is not tree happy. To me she is the perfect dog opens just right on track and barks between 80 and 100 a min. on the tree. I lucked up and got a dog that will have a coon and just happens to have one of those all grand pedigrees. So her papers might not tree a coon but the dog sure will, and what I want is another one just like her.

That's good and she sounds to be a nice hound. But those two bloodlines would be something to think about though. That's just my opinion, you know opinions are like you know what, everybody has one lol!! But you're right about papers can't tree. I can wipe my butt with my dog papers lol if the dog can't tree a coon I don't need the dog lol! Keep us posted on what you decide though.

hey
dr.law......your already in texas
what to breed too.
there were some good dogs mentioned for you to think about , beans a real good one , a nice big hound well balanced an a good mouth.. but so was his daddy , honey creek harry.. i own a hound off of harry ; ingrams claw hammer , i know of several hounds off of harry and most will say the same thing time and time again . harry is a good reproducer...puts what he has into his pups.. i also own a dog out of tree grippin joe . another well balanced straight out coon dog . put all his knowledge right back into his pups.. the point i would like to make is this , just because a hound has a big name doesn't always make him the best reproducer ..it's your gyp , it's your money , it's your time that you will be putting into the litter . so don't go by what we all say, do some research as to what best suits what you are looking for and when you think you 've found it , look some more .
