Hunting lights? LED?

I've been looking at lights and prices a lot here lately, and I'm not sure if getting an LED is the way to go or not. I know they generally last longer, but I'm looking for one that would be at least as bright and versatile as a regular 21 volt light. Any opinions on this?

Thanks.

There is 3 dog hunting supply places here in East,TN. All of them have Boss lights and most of them have new and used 5100s in. They may make better lights then the Boss but I have yet to see one. Best way to see anything is in person.

Can get you the same lights as Ken St. John's Crystal lights

yeah. With a led light you will have a light just as bright or brighter than a 21 volt, but uses a smaller battery.

I use a Valley creek PRO Caplite, not sure on the voltage, but its brighter than the old 21 volts. Plus, there are no dark spots, no bulbs to blow, no fumbling with the switches, just a bright, versatile light thats dependable and hassle free...

Check out: http://www.crystalc2.com/index.html

Ken St. John's Crystal lights are the way to go. For the money they are extremely hard to beat. Super Bright, very durable, long burn times, great battery life, and comes with a 6 month warranty. All right at or under $150.

I bought a Tri-tronics Nightrazor light a couple months ago. It's an l.e.d. light, very small with no battery pack. Plenty bright and burn time is amazing. Best light I've owned so far. They are $200 brand new.

I second Tyler Vanden

Danny at nite moves can make you any kind of light you want. i just had my 21 volt switched over to LED and it lasts about 10 times longer then it did with a 5100 adcon head on it.

I have the same light really like it have had no trouble with the light but took some time to get used to the switch location, kept reachin down at my belt LOL years of habit, but very satisfied with it and very bright and good walking setting also, just remember to get a amber or red lens cover>

Still loving my NightRazor and its as bright if not brighter than the 21V ones I have seen.

The size and weight alone are huge benefits but that thing on high is pretty darn bright.

I have a superior light made by Sam Davis. The head I have is the same color as the 5100 head, but it is a Led.It is bright and I will never switch to another head.Sam stands by his product too.
