there aint none have tried all kinds if some one knows somebody knows how to wire in a jack so u can recharge a battery pack on the go i would be very intersted to try this with my garmin im spending 25 dollars or more a mnth on batteries tnx sorry didnt mean to change ur post
How in the world are you spending 25 dollars a month for batteries?
I use rechargables. I keep 2 in the unit, 2 in the truck and I always have more in the house charged up. 8 rechargable batteries last me many, many months. Heck I prolly go a month or close to it without having to change the batteries and that's when I am hunting 4 nights a week or so.
Now I don't have the backlight on when I run the Garmin, I run it dark and turn my light on to see it, but I have good battery life.
I have the old unit, not the new one so maybe that's it?

i do the same thing i keep 2 in the unit and 2 in my pouch , you will never run out
Walmart has a energizer rechargeable battery kit that comes with adapter to plug into the power outlet on your vehicle. Two in the Garmin and two in the charger. I think i paid like 15$ for it

I CAN NOT remember to turn mine off. I run through the batteries. I saw some rechargeable ones with charger at the dollar store today for 5 dollars

I use rechargeable Duracells. I charge them every 2 or 3 nights. Been using the same set for over a year now. So my battery costs are next to nothing.

there is nothing like rechargeable batteries
Danny, I used one set for over a year & half with no problems. When I say set I mean 2 in unit, 2 in my pocket just in case.

ive never found rechargeables that would last more than 5-7 min in a 220 have tried the 5 dollar batterys at walmart went to a commerical battery shop gave 70 dollars for eight were supposed to last at least an hour after 3 mins no backlight maybe its me but if they wont lite the backlite whats the use anyway im om my 3rd 220 inless than two years and i have 2 collars that have been replaced 3 times also bout every 6 mnths they wear out i hunt coon and train dogs im not talking bout making 4-6 trees and going home i hunt from dusk till the last two dumps are useally after the sun comes up alkiline battery usally two sets per night 36 pack walmart i think bout 9.99 go thru two of these or more per mnth i would pay good money to find a set of 8 batterys that would last allnite but y cant some one just desin a rechargable battery back with a jack like on the beep beep s they worked great charge twice a year and forget them same thing in collar buy the, collar throw away magnets every 3.5 yrs buy new collar no problems
Your garmin needs to be set for recharable batteries also.

Eneloop by sanyo are the ones I use. Check on Ebay. the XX model i believe is 2700MAh.Claim they will still have 85% of thier power if left setting without use after three years.

kcdawg.. The batteries only lasted 5 to 7 mins? Did you change the setting to rechargeable battery?
