Garmin Collar

I have a DC 30 collar that i've started having issues with, first it wouldnt turn on so I plugged it into the charger and it came up with a purple light(where the blue light should be) and red on the other end. Now it will turn on and flash properly for a short time, doesn't pick up signal to handheld. Then turn to a steady red wether its on or off. Anyone have one do this? Any suggestions on what I could try to do to fix it?

Similar to what my DC-20 did years ago. Water had gotten into it and I ended up replacing it with a DC-30 when Garmin was letting people upgrade to them instead of repairing the DC-20's.
