The Choice Between Right and Wrong

This afternoon I was going back through some old news listed on our Coonhound News Page looking for a certain item. I happened across the article that Nathan Lattimer wrote for us some time ago. So I read the whole thing again and came away with the same "how on target" feeling I had the first time he emailed it to me to proof prior to publishing it. Ethics

Really good article Allen, the same should apply to the hunting judges. It's a shame that so many change to "two hour maniacs"
once you hit the woods and mess up what should be an enjoyable hunt. I love to win as much as anyone and have won some big hunts but I've lost a lot more than I've won because I'm simply not going to be out for blood over a coon dog.

A lot of the clubs select the same people over and over as judges, most of the time it seems to work out that they belong to the "maniac" class. Wouldn't it be better to draw the judges out of a hat instead? I know a lot of people don't like to judge, including myself but some of these guys have no business with a card in their hands.
