anybody reading any good books? im looking for a good one to read. any suggestions???? love 'where the red fern grows', anybody know anything like that? or heck something that aint like that haha

Anyone else in the 40-50 (or so) age group remember reading this book in school? It was called Weakfoot back then, but has since been retitled The Ghost of Cramer's Island. I'm thinking it was also a tv movie. Yep, just found online where it was on The Wonderful World of Disney, called the Ghost of Cypress Swamp.
It was definitely one of the books that started my interest in hounds.

l. lyle- i found that one today! i looks like a dang good book im gonna have to read it!
old ben- i worked in a little huntin store for a while and needless to say i was able to pick that one up quite a bit haha i like it, its good, got a lot of interesting stories in it.
mattkiser269- iv never of anything by him but that sounds like the kind of books i like, its gotta be able to catch me from the beginning i just dont see the point in reading on haha ill have to check that out
calblu- im not in the 40 to 50 range but i think i know what your talking about, ill have to find it and read it. iv hunted since i was little bitty dad always took me, but (this may sound corny) when i read 'where the red fern grows' when i was in middle school it was like that book was sent from heaven. haha i even named a few hounds iv had after it haha thanks.

all fox fires are good. when my grandpa died i got all of his zane grey books, i think there were 11 of them, the best one is purple sages. i dont know if you can still get them because the ones i have were written in the 1930s. davey crocketts diary is about a good of book as ive read.
