Hauling dogs.

I have an interest in hauling dogs and would like to hear some opinions. I am handicapped and can't work and thought this might occupy my time. I don't know if this is getting into something over my head or if it would pay off. Can you give me some tips?

There have been a number of folks who have started out in the buisness and quit. You would have to like to drive and be on the road alot. No offence intended, but being handicapped, there could be some possible problems handling the dogs for rest stops so the dog can relieve themselves. I know it is getting more difficult for me to handle big 70-80# male dogs. I am not sure of the Federal regulations on such a buisness but I am sure there are some types of Federal laws governing the buisness. I personally want to leave the government out of as much of my life as possible which is next to impossible these days.
This is just my personal opinion and please listen to other's opinions, I think the problems may outweigh the potential profit. I think a person would have to tie up a good deal of capitol just to acquire the equipment it would take to start a buisness like this one. You sure wouldn't want an equipment breakdown out on the road. Perhaps you should try doing it in a small way with some friends to see if it is cost effective.
Jeff, I wish the best for you and if you decide to go ahead, I would send all of the buisness I could your way.
