Puppy Registration

Hi,
I have a Rat Terrier pup (9wks old) that I would like to show in the non-licensed puppy class at an upcoming show. However in oreder to single register him I was told he has to be at least 6months old. So does this mean that I will not be able to ever show him in a puppy class at all?

The dog must be six months old. Sorry.
