best draw so far
jay, several years ago kirkoffs jake, coon creek jenni(ristau's) dressens little bess and i had tucker at the governors cup . jenny had made grand in nine hunts, bess had just placed top twenty in world and won twbfa hunt dog of year and tucker also was top twenty that year and had wins in six purina hunts that year . all of these dogs were on a roll! jake absolutely whipped us! jenni probably had the best shot but was mishandled . tucker was the last dog in there but could no way catch him that nite. bess was withdrawn? cant remember why? boy was she a loud hard tree dog that night. we could make a long list of all the dogs paul and i had beaten that year with bess or tucker but we couldnt add jakes name to the list that night. *********thanks for the word on cowboy. ben
also
that dancer dog that i drew at the semis was one of the tougher draws i ever had . sure liked that blue one.
The two best hounds that I have seen go that I drew were Gayle Flower's Reign dog(out of Rapper) and a Redbone that Hollie Parker owned named Hoss(he finished him pretty high in the Purina Race two years ago). But both of these dogs were nice track dogs and knew how to find and get underneath a coon and would get deep if need be. It was certainly a pleasure hunting with both of those hounds.

Hardwood Dan was a good one, but a female Walker named
Latchem Up Sue impressed me the most, on the one night I hunted with her in a PKC hunt in SC.

1985 and the two best I ever drew I drew on the same cast at the 1989 Walkerdays in Greencastle Indiana, Grand Nite Ch. Molls Salt creek Ann and Grand Nite Ch. Wagers Stylish LIpper. Of Coarse I am overlooking my old Jet dog(lol). The best blue I ever saw I didn't draw, but I judged him at th Semifinals was Grand Nite Ch. Smokey River Chiefs Blue Hoss. All three of these hounds could have lived in my pens.

Come on people drop you're ego and admitt you just got beat, made a bad call, dog made a mistake, what ever. You can't get cheated that much
Back in the 80's a drew a Walker in WI named Trash, man what a show he put on.
I can honestly say I've never drawn a dog that I would down right trade mine for.
Have I been be beat badly, yes. I just figured mine had an off night.

Leon,
Sue is a good one. She is owned by a friend of mine named Bryan Sanders (Sandman) on here. She trees coons.
