JOHN CARROLL

Speaking of Bluetick hounds John Carroll has a line of blueticks that have stood the test of time, The Jewell female he speaks of on this board is a real looker no better looking blue female have ever I laid my eyes on. The pup I got from him has overwhelmed me with his smartness and quick learning ablities.......notice I said abilities.........he is one smart hound and can be corrected without becoming timid and shy..........I have had him out now 9 times he has continued in these times of being out of showing a desire to learn. Sadie has took him in a son and he is liking the woods at night...........Last night out Sadie treed 3 single coon Abilene Kansas Joe was on each track with her and yes he was running the tracks and did well and treed on two trees like a dog that had been hunted more than 9 times. He has a nice mouth and it carries well through the country. This is my first Uthchan blooded hound and not taking anything from the Uthcman line I am happy that the Hammer III. cross is in the blood of Joe. Hammer III. is in this young lads pedigree through Flash II. and Choir's Bomber. The Uthcman line has been know for being some good looking hounds and have held their looks down through the years ( not watered down ) like some of the other lines that you see with long to longer hair, thick to thicker, and pop bottle noses, web feet and so on.....Thank you John for giving me the chance to own a young hound of this quality..............

I'm glad you are liking him, John. Those pups are six months old now.

Mine is running loose here around the place.

Wednesday night, a couple of friends came over and we went a little round. We were a little over two miles north of my house, and the dogs were running a coon. We heard a different mouth put in the race, and when we got to the tree, the pup was there. he heard the dogs and came to us. He got to go along for the rest of the hunt.

The next time I breed Jewel, maybe this spring, I am thinking it will be to the DUI dog that belongs to Austin Cox.

John, if you get a chance, post a picture of Joe. I'd like to see what he looks like now.
