I thought I would use this thread to kill 2 birds with one stone:

1) Are you coming this year. You have said for the past 2 years you were coming, and a lot of your fans were disapointed that you did not make it.

2) Just mentioning your name as a thread topic will draw a lot of lookers. People want to see what you have to say. Just look at any threads that your name is in the topic, and you will see a lot of views. It is like that old comercial that use to be on TV. " When E. F. Hutton speaks everyone listens." You seem to be the E. F. Hutton of this board, with the exception of Sheep. So I figured why not take advantage of this fact. So............

3rd Annual Virginia Bluetick Classic - Dec. 2nd and 3rd

Our club, the Shenandoah Valley Coon Hunters Assciation, in conjuction with the BBOA and UKC are putting on the 3rd Annual Virginia Bluetick Classic. This is a 2 nite (dual) BBOA Sectional.

We had a big crowd. Last year, from 5 states, TN, OH, WV, NC, MD and VA. We are looking to top 100 this year.

All breeds are welcome,and we will be having a grade hunt also, both nites, for those without UKC reg. hounds.

We are easy to find, within 3 miles of I-81 exit 227 Verona, VA, at Barrenridge, VA. Which is about 75 miles south of Winchester, VA about 75 miles north of Roanoke, VA, and about 100 miles west of Richmond, VA

A full page ad can be found in November issue of Bloodlines, page 217 , giving detailed information.

Friday December 2nd:

UKC Bench Show - 4:30
UKC Nite Hunt - 7:00 PM

Saturday December 3rd:

Rabies Vaccination Clinic 12:00 till 3:00
UKC Bench Show - 3:30
Non-Licensed Kids Bench Show - 5:00
UKC Nite Hunt - 7:00 PM

All Nite Hunt Trophies WILL be given out, regardless of scores.

Full set of trophies for each show and each hunt, including breed trophies for the shows and high scoring breed trophies for the hunts.

We have the coon, the guides and judges, to give you a very fair and impartial hunt. Come out and have some fun.

Kitchen will be open both days.

Venders/supply dealers - We have plenty of room for any who would like to set up free inside the main building, please let me know if you want to reserve a space. There is NO CHARGE.

Accomodations at 4 nice hotels, within 7 min. of the hunt, are listed in Bloodlines. Ask for special rates, prearranged for the hunt.

The best deal we could get is at the Day's Inn Business Plaza, about 5 min. from the hunt. This is not your typical Day's Inn, this is a very, very nice, and clean place. American owned and operated!! $40. per room, per night. This is PER ROOM, not per person. 1 person or 6 people in the room, the price is still just $40. Ph. (540) 248-0888

Shawn I have been contacted by your local Police department since you wrote this post. They asked me the same question... I guess they have someone on the inside keepin tabs on you or me one.......... They wanted to know if I was coming this year also... They said if I was going to be there they would have to have more officers on duty for crowd control and that they would have to pay them overtime. They also stated that this OT wasn't in their budget and that your taxes will have to be raised to pay for it. I told them I wasn't sure if I would make it there this year or not but that they would be the second ones to know because I had to let you know first.

PS : I would like to make it down for the hunt but I don't know right now.

Dennis, with the crowd you would bring, any increase in taxes would be offset by the revenue generated by the following you have.

She's buying a house in Staunton and goes to settlement sometime in Dec.When did the houses get so high over that way? I figured they would be alot cheaper than they are.WOW

I'm not sure if I'll make it over or not for the hunt.The Mrs.Hobo's birthday is Dec 2 and she might frown on me leaving.LOL
