Another Full moon tonight in

Michigan and after the luck I have had on the last 2 full moons I have hunted I think I will stay home and just try my luck tomorrow night. maybe I'll get lucky and tree a coon or 2.,

I explained to her before I turned her loose how everyone on here is allways making fun of blueticks and especially mine and saying all kinds of mean and hurtfull things about her. She took off and kicked dirt in my face and had her head lent back talking to mr. Coon before I got my light and snake chaps on.

WENT FUR A COUPLE HOURS TONIGHT AND MADE THREE 3 TREES.
FIRST TREE KNOCKED HIM OUT TO THEM A LITTLE FRESH MEAT
SECOMD TREE A NICE BIG HOLE
THIRD TREE HE MAY HAVE BEEN THERE BUT I DONT THINK SO.

A SEASON START OF SBOUT 33 & 1/3 %

friday night - one tree one coon, time spent in woods - 3 hours
saturday night - no tree - big mess- plead the 5th
sunday night - took it easy at the house
monday night (tonight) - one tree one coon, time spent in woods - 1.5 hours.

I know what your thinking, Man sheepster and his friends dogs are SLLLLOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWW. no fellows, that could be true some nights but this wasn't the case on these hunts. Friday night, dog had coon treed in about 25 minutes from turnout. Monday night (tonight) dog had coon treed in about 10 minutes. I guess you could say we had some "technical difficulties" Oh by the way, no buckets either. we just cut em loose and play the hand were dealt.

Full Moon night~

Huntint time 2:12, 7 dumps, 5 nice coon(3 laid up!), 2 dens(both legit)! I do hunt a plott dog so it was a fair night
Plus I ended up with a Black n Tan that musta been lost over the weekend. So I did have a bad point tonight.....lol. I am happy and getting ready for Plott Days in OH here next month if all goes well or stays like tonight!!!

The black & Tan

Was it a real big black and tan, built like the use to build them back in the old days and a little on the heavy side? My buddy just went hunting in Michigan with a new Black & Tan he just got I know they lost acouple dogs.

I decided not to push my luck after Sunday night and tonight I'm gonna push it no matter what just hope luck is on my side tonight(Tuesday night). Maybe I will see some coon and have some better luck.

Blueballing what part of Michigan did your buddy lose his black dogs cause if it was anywhere near me I will keep my eyes out for them.

Never hunted around feeder buckets and don't plan on starting to now, I'm from Indiana and never have ever hunted around feeder buckets and won't do it now. My dogs don't need the help to run aa coon and the closest they get to a feeder bucket is a corn field.

I am not sure I will give him a call tonight. I am not even sure if he lost the black & Tan I just know they got on a Bear race and did not get all the dogs back. I will talk with him tonight. I just saw Michigan, and Black & Tan and found a dog thought I would ask?

Yes unless it's cloudy. No really... except in the event of a partial lunar eclipse were only part of the country can view it, when It's a full moon at your house its a full moon at mine too.

I located the owners. Dogs had tag and collar. The fellas from Detroit just left with the dog. They even picked out a couple of pups.....plotts...they are on the right track now!....LOL.
I'll be on the lookout if anyone comes across another BnT though.

Gravedigger I am glad you found the dogs owners. I called my buddy tonight. I had not talked directly to him I had just heard they had some trouble with the dogs getting on a bear and loosing a couple dogs. It turns out they brought all of them back with them before they came back to Indiana.

Hobo~ Yes I believe I did. She's owned by a fella in Jackson right? I think she's got some of your blood in her. She beat me out on Sat. hunt. I drew her Fri. also and I won the cast but no placement.

Sheep, It was only one dog! He's nice but not bad to the bone. I sure like Gravedigger alot and he's a coondog. Gonna try my luck at another Plott Days with him...See if I can go two for two. There's the always prevalent UKC vs PKC dogs so we'll see how he stacks up with the gators and loosemouth idiots.....just kidding. I got a couple of weeks to keep tunin' and tweekin' 'em. Like getting a Nascar car ready to race....vroom! Oh by the way the 2:12 was actual hunting time. We were actually out for a little over 3 hours and went to 3 spots.

Well that's good to hear. These boys that just came also left a female blutick too....lol. I think they were hunting a pack of dogs. City folks I swear. Someone else caught her up and they gonna get her too.

Yeah she's off my Lobo dog.I raised her and trained her then when I got Lobo back I sold her to a friend down here.

Big John your gonna have to stop using that moon as a excuse.LOL I've hunted the last two night and treed coon both nights.Heres the story and pic's from tonights hunt.If the moon gets much brighter I'm gonna have to start wearin my sunglasses.LOL

Took Shadow and Boone again tonight back to the stateland turned loose about 7:45.They were gone three mins when both of them exploded on track.They took the track wide open for about a half a mile and then slammed the tree.They were treed in the middle of a cutover just telling Mr.Coon what they were gonna do to him when I got there.

Well another full moon

Went for a hunt with a friend tonite and made 2 drops and couldn't find the coon to many leaves and that was the first drop and on the 2nd drop dogs made a big loop and went on some property I didn't have permission to be on and the farmer asked us to try and keep our dogs out of there due to Bow hunters Leasing the ground for bow hunting. so didn't really get to look for the coon on the 2nd drop.

I just got back in.
Turned the pup loose in a cornfield and got one going pretty quick. Made one big loop and treed. Knocked it out to him.
Turned him loose on a rig strike , but he couldn't go anywhere with it.
We'll try it again tomorrow.
