best cross ever?
Is the DIGGER X BLACK MOLLY cross , the walker breeds ultimate cross ? It certainly looks like it on paper . Does anyone know how this cross is doing?
I would say "NO"
I never saw a set of papers that could tree a coon.
best cross the walker breed ever had..................... the one where the female didn't get pregnant.
There goes sheep with some more ignorance.

People accuse me of being color blind. The truth is I will hunt red ones, blue ones, black and white ones, yellow ones, black and tan ones, or even brindle ones; Just as long as they are English!
awwwwww yer just mad cause you didnt think of it first.
famous crosses
In the interest of trying to stamp out ignorance, based on the last reply to this post, I might suggest that there have been many incredible crosses in the history of coonhonds, and in all of the six recognized breeds. In the Walkers, there was the cross that produced Finley River Chief. (Shetler's Sonny Boy and Bixler's Supreme Sally). In recent years, the cross that produced Rock River Sackett Jr., probably a cross never to be equaled again. Tim Ball did well with the Harry and Abby crooses too. In the Blueticks, Dave Dean did well with some of those Hammer crosses. To those of a relatively scientific mind, or at least an understanding, it all boils down to the way the DNA links up. Coonhounds can only be what their DNA allows them to be, of course only with the right environmental tweakings (exposure to coons, training, hunting) to bring out that DNA.

I might add some more, that if some people got off their butts more and spent more time in the woods with some well bred pups, of whatever breed, the world might be a better place, instead of spending all their time behind the keyboard. Instead of wasting all of our time reading these posts and instead investing woods time in a good young dog, then their postings might be based more on facts and experience rather than keyboard induced conjecture.
