Waiting for Registration Papers
Hi! A month ago I send the temporal registration certificate (Bill of sale) of a Jack Russell Terrier (the registration number of the puppy is P368-911). I haven't receive the official papers and a binder that I order yet. I want to know what happen with the registration.
Thanks,
Olgamarien Castillo
Hello,
I find that dog registered to:
OLGAMARIEN C AGUIAR & ALVIN R COUTO DE JESUS
1043 CALLE 2 SE
URB PUERTO NUEVO
SAN JUAN, PR 00921
The papers and book were mailed 9-30-03. I see a difference in names. Can you explain?
Explanation
Actually is the same. My complete name is Olgamarien Castillo Aguiar. Castillo is my paternal last name, nor my middle name. I think that in your records they asume Castillo was my middle name therefore Olgamarien C. Aguiar. Alvin R. Couto de Jesus is my husband. If you have further doubts feel free to ask.
Also, is there any way to know is the other puppies of the litter that we registered where permanently registered by the new owners? As a responsable breeder I am very concerned with the JRT puppies that we sell and would like to know of their whereabouts. (Sorry with my spelling).
JRT Question
Hi!
I am the owner of 4 Jack Russell Terriers, in AKC and ICF this breed is known as Parson Jack Russell Terrier. I understand that UKC recently accept registrations for the short leg JRT breed. And the breed name in UKC is Russell Terrier. Prior to this decision UKC accepted registration of this dogs in the Jack Russell Terrier breed.
What you say is true. The breed was split, Russell Terrier and Jack Russell Terrier. Here are the standards for both:

As for permanently registering your pups, you will receive a puppy certificate for each pup you registered unless you chose to transfer the dogs at the time you registered the litter.
Have you received your papers now?
Question
Prior to this decision (Breed Spliting) UKC accepted registration of this dogs in the Jack Russell Terrier breed?
No, I haven't receive the papers yet. Thanks
Before the breed split, they were all registered as Jack Russell Terriers yes. Hopefully you will be receiving your papers soon. They have not been returned to us by the Post Office.
