Advice on a bright Eyes Light

My husband wants to know if anyone knows what and how to remove or bypass that stupid light senser in a Bright Eyes light that makes it go dead when it so calls over heats. This is my light and it works back words and keeps going out when I first turn it on and then when it warms up some it works ok for awhile then goes dead. Where is this sencer and can he remove it and wire direct?

send it back i wouldnt go for that

sounds like a faulty piece in the lite it will void your warranty if you try and fix it. the lites ive owned from bright eyes have given me good service i hope yours gets fixed and ya enjoy it.....

never a problem with any I had. just box it up and send it in they will fix it and have it right back to you.

Kevin or Driveshaft

Do either of you own a belt-light from Brighteyes ? How do they compare to other beltlights as far as brightness, burntime, and dependability ? I am looking into buying a new beltlight and was thinking of a Cajun, or another Light Connection. Any info would be great. Thanks

all belt lights are close to the same

as far as brightness the thing i like about bright eyes and blazer is they have exceptional warranties on there lights. everyone knows we stumble trip and fall and plastic and wires wont hold up when a 215 pound man falls on it lol . get a liight with the best warranty you will not be sorry you did....... JMO......

All of your advice is good

but my husband is determand to remove this sensor and direct wire this light. He does not like it to kick off when it warms up. Surely someone else felt this way and rewired this light without the sensor. He can care less about sending it back because this is the way the light is supose to work, he just does not like it this way.

The bulb

It is more than likely the bulb. My 28v did this, called Bright eyes they told me to try a bulb. I put a new bulb in it and have not had anymore problems. Also, bypassing the sensor could mess up the chip on the switch.

Thanks for the compliment. The only way i will bring him is if someone tells me in advance they wish to breed a female to him. I'm already bringing two to hunt on Sat. night so I hate to have to haul another and wont just to set up in a barn. I would like to show him off a bit if I had a reason to bring him. Thanks again, Kevin

Perry I've been treeing a few here and there. Took that female to Redbone days in Indiana. She got second on fri. and won her ntch cast on sat. with plus point son sat. She was high scoring walker of the hunt. You can see her pic in this months bloodline. Got a second at the Monroe RQE with her as well. She got a cast win at Plott days this past Fri. in Illinois. My White female had some dificulty with her pups and I took her off of them Yesterday morning. They just turned three weeks old. I am going to try and have her back in the hunts ASAP. If I can dry her up part way I may take her to the UNION RQE this weekend.
Have you been hunting much?

advice on bright eyes light. Take light in hand. Slam dunk forcefully into nearest garbage can. Save money, buy a real light.

Perry I'm going to go tonight. I just took a female off pups Mon. She is still naggy but if she looks okay tonight I will be at Union with her. If not I have one already qualified I will take to WV state hunt on SAT

Posted by mjrandall on 08-11-2005 07:02 PM:

Kevin if you were up at Monroe NC that was my neck of the woods!!! I'm a member of the Union county NC club but didn't make it to the RQE. Who did you draw out with?

As for the bright eyes lights, I had a box light and am glad I got rid of it. I didn't like the switch (I'd rather have a click switch) and it was too heavy for me. I don't know that much about the belt lights by them, I bought a Grain Valley 21v belt up at SETWD's and love it.

Posted by sheepster on 08-11-2005 07:38 PM:

aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh the old bright eyes light I spent $300 on a few years back. wasnt that an experience. Had it about 2 weeks. Starts flashing on and off constantly for no reason. Call bright eyes, they say send it to us and well fix it. I PAY SHIPPING COST and send it to them. They say its fixed and send it back. 2 or 3 days later it goes dim and wont shine bright, once again i call them, they say send it back and well fixe it, ONCE AGAIN I PAY SHIPPING COST AND SEND IT BACK, they send it back and say they replaced the part that was bad and send it back and say its fixed. 2 or 3 days later it goes out completely and wont come on at all. Before you guys even ask........ YES, I READ THE PAPERWORK THAT CAME WITH IT AND YES I FOLLOWED THE INSTRUCTIONS TO THE LETTER. Anyway, back to the story, at this point I Michael Jordan slam dunk the piece of junk in the nearest garbage can like I told the other fellow to do and save some money and buy a REAL LIGHT. Bought a Blazer 12 volt........ GREAT LIGHT. Its one thing for a product to go bad, its an entire different thing for the company to not make things right.

TW Knox,

I would recommend getting another Light Connection light. I have his 28 volt belt light, bright as all get out, lasts forever on a charge, and built with all quality products, good cord, plug etc. He will have it to you in no time, and if you have ever had one no need to tell you how they hold up.

I wouldn't trade mine for anything. They are priced right too, can't find that kind of quality much anymore.

Yes, I have had his 20 v beltlight. Never a problem, not even a blown bulb in 2 yrs and 4 months. I guess that is about as good as it can get. I like trying new products, just to see the results, good or bad. Have you ever owned a Cajun, how do they compare to Daves Light Connection ? You can PM me if you want, or post it here. Thanks, that 28 volt, do you have problems with bulbs ?

Cant rememebr who I drew. We hunted around that older man that has a machine shop or something like that, land. Ken Carpenter I think his name is. We hunted around his cabin where he keeps his dogs at. A real nice place.
