The Next Great Bluetick Stud

Who do you think it is going to be?

My money is on Uncle Pen.

BULLET II

I have to go with the sire of my dogs, the oldest being 13 mnths. start early and all you have to do is hunt them. they start there selves, hardly hang on a track and are very balanced. his oldest pups are not yet 2 but I have 2 here that will finish in the hunts.

I think Frosty's Blue Bo Bo will be up there also.

Posted by John Carroll on 06-23-2005 04:45 PM:

I tend to think Screwey Lewey might be in the running.

There is a young dog I know of right now who has never been in the hunts yet. He is around 10-11 months old. He has all the tools, is out of a good, but unappreciated stud dog, and a top female from a family of top females.

The entire litter he is out of are naturals, and he is the best of the lot.

He trees coon like an old dog and has since he started. He has the looks, mouth, breeding, and ability.

I'm keeping quiet about him, but remember the name "Logan."

I have a feeling you'll see a dog by that name in the winner's circle shortly, and the way he is bred, I believe he will reproduce.

bullet II and BoBo,

both are linebred, they are bullet & rambo II up close,(wouldnt prefer anything else than those two), and they are getting nice females.

waiting to see what RC does on other females besides that one cross.

i believe you better be hunting something either rambo II or bullet if you want to win anywhere.

He needs one win to grand.
He was lost for a few days and when they found him his tail was broke and infected so they had to cut it off.
I dont think he has hardly any pups on the ground.

RAISIN CAIN

MOST OVERLOOKED STUD IN THE BREED .

HE IS THE UCHTMANS HAWK OF TODAY AND HE IS SITTING IN A PEN IN EAST TENN...

THIS IS MY OPINION , YOU CAN TAKE IT AND 65 CENTS AND GET YOURSELF A CAN COKE .

THANKS FOR THE INFO. BUT HOW CAN HE BE THE NEXT GREAT PRODUCER WITH HARDLY ANY PUPS ON THE GROUND? I DON'T GET IT? ARE THEY ALL WINNING SOMEWHERE? YOU GUYS ARE MAKING PREDICTIONS OFF OF PAPERS. IF HES THAT GREAT WHY WOULD SOMEONE LET HIM BE SOLD TO WI WHERE NO ONE WILL GO BREED TO HIM?

WHAT HAPPENED TO ALL YOU HORNET LOVERS? COUPLE MONTHS AGO HE WAS ALL THE RAGE. I SEE THEM FOR SALE NOW CHEAP EVERYWHERE. STRANGE.

bogie has had 2 full page ads the last 2 years in the bluetick issue, thats a good bit of advertising.

imo, people arent sleeping on bogie, he is getting bred but until you see some dogs showing up in the winner's circles out of him, the masses arent going to flock to him. he is getting bred though, i know one of the few grand nites out of bayou blue clyde was bred to him. plus there are alot of nice rambo II studs out there right now. as soon as i get a feel as to what type of reproducer bogie is and what he is crossing on best, then i might take a female there. i dont have any reason not to take one now, i just try to go with the older proven studs while they are still around.

The next Bluetick Stud. Hmm probably tied out back behind somebody's house and we have never heard of it. Somebody with less money but with a lot more brains than we claim to have will have it. That is just my opinion.

What exactly constitutes a great stud

Having a % of 10 or more , Having 2 or 3 hundred pups or pups winning big hunt's ? Myself i'm not sure i only know what i like in style and looks and temprament . Bruce

Sounds to me like you had your eye on him and someone else beat you to him. Give Pen some time and i bet he will be up there.
I believe he has only been bred to 3-4 times as of late so it will be some time before anyone knows for sure. I'm glad someone from up here finally has brought one to where theres actually coon to tree. Some of them sorry southern dogs would be all confused up here with all the tracks on the ground!
Watch for Appels Bullet dog too. After all, he's a bullet dog. Nuff said.
