Our hunt tonite.

Went huntin tonite with Daniel Wilson (Dwils) and Bobby Lanham hunting their Banjo dog and Daniels Hank Dog. I was hunting a pup that I own with Marv Schmucker. After 2 hours and 15 minutes those three had made 11 trees and had a coon in every one. Banjo had 5, Hank 3 and Katy 3. Katy did some things along the way I didn't like very much but the 2 male dogs never made a mistake. I was also purty impressed with the way those two found all those coons before I could get my dog tied. Both had Sunspot lights but I can't believe that could be that much difference, I'd say it is those young eyes as much as anything. Whatever it is, if those two don't find'em, you best be cutt'in a switch. I headed home after 2 1/4 hours and Banjo was sitting under number 12 before I got back to the truck. Bet those two tree 20 coons before they go home. Not sure I can ever remember going 11 for 11 before. Anyway, it was fun. Daniel and Bobby got two of the best.

Yeah Jim we had fun!! We ended up treeing 16 singles! Yes 16, hank had 1 tree that we had to literally crawl to him at and couldn't shine . And Banjo had a den at the very end.

banjo 8 singles and 1 den, Hank 5 singles and 1 circle that I believe he had the coon. Katie looked good too JiM, she is a nice young dog 3 singles , some good dog work from all 3 tonight Sizemore, Adrian will think we are full of it tomorrow

Jim we would have to hunt 4 days down here to tree 16 coons or maybe hunt a little longer than we do sometimes. It is good to have the coon population you guys have and I truly love hunting up there. Great job by your dogs and I know you really enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing. Have a great weekend.

Now that we treed all those coon last night banjo and hank probably will look like crap tonight at the rqe knowing our luck lol, all three dogs looked good and it was awesome hunting with you jim, we will have to do it again shortly.

You guys did all that hunting the night before a hunt? Lol dagon. It must not have been near as hot there. I was in a hunt last night and it was 78 degrees and dead humid at dark. Let us know how you both do in the hunt. Good luck guys

Those boys have no concept of strategy, they just hunt tha piss out of them and if they can't take, they give them a decent burial. And yes, it was darn hot last night. I left before they could bury ME!

Coon seemed to be moving good here last night also but I must say it was pretty miserable. I was soaked from sweat and rain. And i dont even sweat much.

We shouldn't have hunted hard lastnite lol. Both dogs act worthless . . . They will prob look it too haha, I normally want them to look horrible the night before

okay guys

You all got to come up to Iowa just to help train my dogs. We got the Quarter finals about 50 minutes from my house. Apparently my Wisconsin boys aren't going to help so I need help from the Hoosier hunters. I know we are not going to tree 16 but 5 or 6 would be nice. WOW I must be getting old to Jim, I am not walking to 16 tree's.

The Banjo dog overheated in the dogbox and was not hunted. I drew Seth isch , Lee Mcfan, and Jeff Jackson...first hour was real slow, my hank dog and Seth's dog treed a coon a piece but my dog was just not operating, so I pulled him.....the last hour they treed some coon......moral of story Seth's dog fanned our asses

mine acted sluggish, it was stupid to hunt him so hard Friday night, but we were having so much fun we just kept hunting lol.

The Banjo dog is off Bojangles and a rat attack female. Hunts out, good nosed, excellent track dog.

My hank dog is off Bear and my old Cord female. Hes a get deep and lonely and treed type, which will either sink your ship, or sail it but had a good hunt lastnite Seth was hunting a pretty nice dog!

Also JiM's pup is called 38 dollar Katie, she's a 3/4 sister to Janice Joplin.....off of Deventers hog creek Mike and her mother is a littermate sister to janices mother.....nice pup with loads of potential, very fast, quick on both ends!

Well think its hot now wait til September in Louisiana I got Ike qulified last week but had zero intrest in going to LA. The SS is the same week anyway but even if it wasnt I wouldnt be going to LA. For the very reason you meantioned. HEAT AND HUMIDITY. I just dont get much enjoyment from hunting in 85 degrees at dark and dead humid. Maybe im a fair weather hunter.

If im going to sink several hundred dollars into a hunt Im going with hopes of enjoying myself. The conditions I would almost be guaranteed to hunt in sounds far far from enjoyment. Scared has nothing to do with it.

Im the same way, the Hank dog just needs 1 more win to grand, hes still young , just wanting to put that last win on him and be done with hunts for a while!. I have no interest in going either and neither did Seth Isch lol I hate this time of year, have to force myself to go.

Yes sir , the hillbilly Mr.bojangles dog , goes back to abbots liquid smoke. Hes a fun dog to hunt.

This heat just takes the fun out of it. Plus its dry to the bone here, we desperately need some rain! Id rather hunt in 15 degree weather with snow on the ground
