Amstaff Registration????
I had to register here to ask if this is really true. There is a new group calling themselves NASTA trying to get UKC recognition for the AKC registered Amstaffs. http://namstaf.weebly.com/index.html
Now we all know that the Amstaff is an AKC recognized UKC American Pit Bull Terrier. So how can it be that the UKC would then re-register them as Amstaffs when there are already UKC American Pit Bull Terriers that ALL AKC Amstaffs come from?
Please say this bit of nonsense is not true. How in the world could the UKC even go for something this off the wall?
/shakes head in disbelief....
To my knowledge there is no truth to this...It's the first I have heard of it.
Thank you for your input.
You're welcome. Have a great day!
I think this is a good idea. It would allow people who have AmStaffs to show UKC without having to call them APBTs. I would appreciate having my skinnydawg in the UKC ring not judged against AmStaffs (any more than the average UKC dog has AmStaff lineage), and I'm sure that the breeders who've worked to have the AmStaff stand proudly on its own 4 feet would appreciate it as well. JMO. Should be treated like any other breed that wants recognition.
