This is purty bad.

A couple months back I bought and put up a couple of those screw-in feeder bucket blocks that are in the shape of a cone. They screw right into the side of the tree. Just convenient as all get out. I thought this is great. Put them in two of my best spots, coon everywhere. I have treed numerous coons in these spots since but not once have I seen a coon or anything else around those blocks. Haven't struck a track off them, nothing. Total bust. None of this is a big deal, don't have a real need for them, just thought it would be fun to see what kind of action I'd get with them. I got nothing.
Could it be that the coons in this area are too well fed to be attracted to a feeder? I haven't even caught a possum on those things. Two months and there is still some of it left on that screw, the stuff seems to hold up really well.

Yea, but can you see that it's getting eaten? I have spots where the coons just don't hit the feed until way up on the night while I'm finally in the bed

Jim get a plastic jar of peanut butter and take the lid and screw it to the tree . Then cut the bottom of the off the plastic container of peanut butter . Screw it back on to the lid thats screwed to the tree.
Next time you get another jar , just screw it to this lid you're have on the tree ............. THEY WILL COME !!!!!!!!!

Put it high on the tree too.

I take in a lot of young dogs this time of year to start... I will put out feeders but it always has been hit and miss right around this time. It doesnt matter if you put out peanut butter, molasses, dog food, or straight corn. If they don't feel like eating it they flat aren't gonna eat it. I dont turn older dogs loose near the feeders but I have noticed when I work the pups that about the middle of may until the corn milks up, a feeder with dog food or even just plain corn will get hammered. I've went through 50 lbs in 3 nights and I'm pretty sure it was most of the way empty by the beginning of the 3rd night.

Give it a couple weeks and I bet they will get chewed up quick.

I have stuff that is the best on the market period!!!!! PM me for more info. I am checking on shipping it. The shipping would cost more than the feed itself but I'm working on it. It is the cheapest feed and the best out there. Dont believe me then try it I bet you fall in love with it!!!

Like your screw in blocks were more forumulated for deer or cattle and the deer/squirel/birds are eating them . Also like the man sead above mabe the coon are eating it later in the erly am when its still dark and you and your hounds are back at home and in bed . Try going out around midnight and hunt off them feeders ..

I tried the same feeders once

Wanna know what happened to mine??? It drew bears in.Found 'em on the ground,pulled right outta the tree and all the bait gone.
