Dogs get winded and their tongues hang out... add in barking treed 100I times per minute and they catch their tongue or lip every now and again ... hell I bite my tongue and cheek while eating and that's adding in the 100bpm. I used to have one that would bite his everynight and it looked like a bloodbath.
That's what I was thinking but just wanted to see if maybe there was any other reason that I didn't know about. She barks ever breath and I never been around one that trees as hard as she does this much. All the ones I've been around in the past where just so so tree dogs.
Dogs often catch a tongue hanging out while running on briars and such or even just drag something like that thru their mouth just like we do at times. Didn't have to happen at the tree.
