Traffic Report for Elizabeth IL Events

Hwy 20 in Galena is down to one lane road at the bridge in Galena, IL

This will be going on for the next 6 weeks !!

So if your travelinig from the West allow yourself about an extra 30 min to be safe to get through the lights on the bridge !!

For those staying at Chestnut Mnt it does not effect you other than you might have a wait to turn onto Blackjack rd while the line moves and the light changes.

Also, just a heads up to anyone who may be making the trip from Southern Illinois or other points South. If you are traveling I-57 Northbound, they are doing construction on the Northbound side, beginning a few miles South of exit 95 (Mt. Vernon, IL). Traffic is down to one lane and backups can be LONG at times!! Just a little heads up for anyone who may be using this area on their route!
