This is why

They have campaign costs that they have to pay, its easier to get contributions if your still running as opposed to if you pull out. They are hoping to accrue more cash to pay for their run.

I am not very much Political Scientist orientated. But neither am I a comp hunter that studies rules diligently day and night. However, the way I see it is , (let's use round numbers) Newt gets 100, 000 votes. But he has an organization that really believes in him but they only amount to 1,000 votes. Never the less he can advise his constituents to cast their vote for Romney or for Santorum in the Primary. Heck a thousand votes might make a difference. Just say he goes Santorum if Santorum promises to try to regain our landrights, and Santorum wins by ten votes because of it,.. Don't you see Mathew ? asks Festus. How many votes in Floriduhh was lacking for Al Gore?? Do you remember that?? Every vote counts. Do not be deceived.
