Hunting around Shreveport

I've never hunted in LA. What is the hunting like where the World hunt is going to be this year?

Thanks

Nice coon population. Several nice refuges to hunt. Mostly flat. Lots of water in places. Dog needs to be able to track, locate and tree. Not many easy ones from my experience in that area. Great location to have the finals.

Really good hunting if you get the right guide. I'm not saying anything negative just that some guys have really good hardwood bottoms and some will be hunting in what I call mixed timber, mix of pines and hardwoods. The bottoms are low and flat and the mixed timber may be a little hilly. But you can just about bet it will be hot. Good thing is we dont have as many gators as south LA, its nothing like you see on SWAMP PEOPLE. The woods are thicker down here than up north, more under growth. I just hope its not as dry this summer as it was last year.
